How It Works
Unlike conventional USB voltage converters, the Birdcord PD→6V doesn’t boost the standard 5 V USB output. Instead, it communicates with a compatible USB-C charger or power bank using the USB Power Delivery (PD) protocol to request 9 V. The Birdcord PD→6V then efficiently converts this voltage down to a stable 6 V DC output inside the cable.
This approach allows output currents of up to 3 A, making the Birdcord PD→6V powerful enough for demanding 5.7 V and 6 V devices that ordinary USB-powered converter cables cannot handle.
